PureScreen is Castlefield Gallery’s regular screening event for artists’ film and video. The programme provides a platform for outstanding recent work and aims to support new and emerging practitioners and curators. PureScreen DVD *01 features some of the best examples of contemporary artist’s film and video in the UK today. Many of the films represent issues that have appeared prevalent within the medium of film and video in terms of artistic, cultural, social or political interests in recent years.
